Shopping for a Tundra is a learning experience

My hope is that my searching problem is because of the model year change.

This is going to be my first truck and I am actively looking for a 1794 with the Wireless Camera System (WCS). It is hard because most search tools either don't have the ability to search for the WCS (or Tech Tow Package) or it just doesn't work.

The Toyota website shows there a 0 in a 500 mile radius of my home. I have been able to find a few by randomly checking websites of big dealers outside the 500 mile Toyota search area. I am not in a hurry so it looks like I will need to wait for the 2026's to become available.

Lastly, this whole "can't order what you want" has surprised me last night in doing some online searching. I have learned that dealers get allocations of vehicles and as a customer you basically need to shop at multiple dealers and hope one of them gets in the configuration you want. So the advice I see is you need to pick a dealer that is more likely to get an allocation for the configuration you want and get on list and wait. So now I am starting to research which dealers in my area are most likely to be honest with me a try to deal with the possibly long wait time. And then hope I can effectively negotiate the price once it comes in.

Crazy plan but I guess that is the drill.
