So I have an issue. i have a 2016 2wd tundra and for the past month and half when i brake it’s been shaking. i took it to firestone and they said it was pads and rotors. they replaced it and test drove it but it didn’t solve the problem and they told me to take it to toyota. now this morning i experienced shaking while accelerating around 60mph. toyota is backed up but i have another mechanic looking at it this week. asking any opinions if yall ever had a similar issue and what yall think it might be?

Is it still only when braking? Might need tires balanced. Mine started a similar shake that I attributed to the wheel spacers but changing the front rotors changed it. It's no longer a steering wheel shake at 55mph but now there's a vibration from what feels like the back at around 60mph. Tried having the tires rotated and balanced and that didn't work. I'm going to swap the rear rotors out and see if maybe that helps. Otherwise I'm using it as an excuse to buy new wheels and ditch the spacers.

Maybe there's a bulge on the tire somewhere, but im assuming firestoners would notice it taking off tires to do brakes?

Could be a broken belt inside the tire. Had that in the past before and it wouldn't necessarily be noticeable unless you knew what to look for.

One may place truck on stands, disable all electronic assists and try having someone listen to the tires as one accelerates?
