    Hey guys, question.
    I have a 2014 Tundra, 3inch lift, 35in tires.
Driving on the interstate 80mph this morning, took a slight turn and during the turn I could feel a shake develop and not go away when I was through the turn.
My thought is either a bad front axle or wheel bearing? Has anyone experienced this?

    Thanks

Have you ruled out it's not warped brake rotors?

A bad wheel bearing should resolve once you're driving straight. Still hum though.

When you get a chance, hop underneath and do a visual of the axle and lift up the front and check both wheels for play.

I have a 2015 that was doing it at lower speeds. It ended up being the emergency brake cable hinge device being stuck. My front rotors were also slightly warped.

Well, steering wheel doesn’t shake when I brake, so I don’t think it’s the rotors. Visual inspection of the axles, they look fine but that doesn’t mean they are good

My truck has a front-end vibration that develops when entering the highway up to ~70-75mph from ~45mph. I also have the well documented needle bearing/front diff issue and will be replacing it with the ECGS bushing in the next week. Hoping the bushing resolves both issues. There is a crap ton of play in the driver side CV-axle.

I would be interested to hear what fixes yours.

I just did that bushing repair on my 2007 4Runner, was unaware that they were using the same needle bearing in the tundras?!
Well if I just run straight it’s smooth, the shimmy only develops if I’m turning a lot.. kinda think it’s the wheel bearings, side load via turning maybe idk. I’ll keep this thread updated

Both use needle bearings, I don't think they are the same as the ECGS bushing has different part numbers. The Tundra's don't seem to be effected as much as Taco's and 4Runners are. Seems to be more isolated by year on the Tundras. Based on my research, 2008-2011 and 2020 seem to have it worse than other years.

    Can you elaborate?
Sweeping left turn is the last thing to induce it. Have you heard of the torque converter wobble?
    Or the driveshaft being unbalanced?

I did some research before I took it to a Toyota dealership for diagnosis, and then brought it to my mechanic to get it fixed. I actually did contact a local transmission shop and he told me if something was wrong with your transmission. He would know it for sure it would do it constantly. He was right it ended up being the E brake cable hinge. it started when I engage my E brake, then released it. I drove off and I could feel a semi in the front and it felt like it was coming through the middle of the truck. I thought it was the tranny too but thankfully I was wrong.

I’m not sure of the exact location, but is it is attached to the emergency brake cable
