I was the replace my serpentine belt, 10 years old, 68k miles, should I replace the tensioner and idler pulley also at the same time? Did a search couldn't find much.
    Thanks.

I can't think of any reason why you won't replace this stuff if your doing the belt as well?

A few lessons from an idiot (me) the tensioner is a left handed thread (don't try to tighten till it breaks, it will and you'll be frustrated like I was).
I haven't had any luck with a belt that doesn't chirp (at warm up) here in southern Maine once the temperature is lower than 35 degrees. Goes away once warm but its frustrating (I'm 3 belts in and it still chirps)

Also, record the belt pattern before you remove. I learned you can physically install it incorrectly. I did, it screeched and i fixed it. But its possible.

    Hope that helps.

I also live in Southern Maine although I have only lived here for a year. I had the dealership replace my serpentine back in Texas about a year before I moved here because it would chirp and squeal in the rain or if the temperature dropped bellow 45 degrees. Since the belt replacement, it has not made any chirping or squealing and has handled its first Maine winter (about to be 2nd) quite well

Thanks for the info, I am in northern MA, strangely my belt has never made any noise.

I hope it never does. Mine does, only at start-up and it's very frustrating.
    Luckily it goes away quickly.

And only when its this time of year or colder.

    Update..
Took off the old belt, surprisingly didn't have any cracking the ribs, bought a new tensioner but could not remove the old one, the 6mm allen would not budge and I didn't want to risk breaking it. The old tensioner seemed fine and spun very smoothly.
Ended up replacing the belt with the Dayco belt, it was tight but seemed fine and is nice quiet.
Here is a picture of the 6mm bolt I could not remove.
