My left front LCA alignment cams are seized and as a result my alignment is pretty off, +1.4 camber off. Finally have the time to address it and was going to install the SPC caster/camber kit.

I believe the sleeve is frozen into the bushing, which from what i've read is very common on Tundras/Tacomas/Sequoias. I found an OEM LCA takeoff from a truck with 20k miles. I was going to sawzall the LCA bolts and then swap this on and then install the SPC kit to avoid the hassle of changing bushings on the LCA.

Does anyone have any advice for the process or has been through this? Especially for advice on getting the bracket off of the lower ball joint. Seems like ill have to put it on blocks and smack the LBJ bolt until it comes off. Does this seem like a sound plan? Appreciate any insight!

This was common in 4th gen 4runners too. Cut the bolts with a sawzall and a fine tooth metal blade, SLOW! Right through the old LCA bushings, that arm can be rebuilt but new arms are easiest. Cutting fast will burn the blade up and make you hate your life. I would recommend using new OEM caster camber bolts (with coating on antiseize!) and washers, the SPC are flat washers with D holes that wallow out easily and don't align well more than once or hold alignment. Recheck LCA bolt torque after alignment, I've found most shops don't tighten to spec and can cause clunks.

Agreed with above, best to just cut them off an start fresh. I invested in a "Diablo" blade for my sawzall per recommendations an was able to cut 3 of 4 bolts off my Tacoma LCA with that one blade no problems. 4th came out without cutting. Also Never seize the crap out of everything.

Yes, the Diablo carbide tipped blades are awesome. I recently had to cut through the front CV axle on my wife's Lexus RX350 because it was stuck in the carrier bearing bracket. It was pain in the butt. If it can cut through axle , I'm sure it will cut the bolts no problem.

Sawzall, new arm, upgraded greasable LCA cams/bolts is what I did on my girlfriend's 4runner. The sawzall part sucks ass since it's an awkward position.

Seemingly all good info so far

I'll probably be repeating the obvious or what others already said.

Obviously lower coilover bolt needs to be removed. You can suspension the hub/spindle assembly by placing either stand or a Jack at the hub. Remove LCA bolts at the LBJ. Cut cut cut at the cams.

All the advice and reassurance was much appreciated. Got it done yesterday with no issues using a Milwaukee Torch blade. Ripped right through them without issue. I replaced the entire arm and then put plenty of antiseize on the non threaded parts of the cam bolts and sleeves. Alignment went great today and tires are finally on!
