Hi all, I am new here but have had my 08 dbl cab 5.7 for about 8 years.
I searched a long time for this truck as I wanted a 2wd column shift in electric blue, I added the 5 spoke BBS wheels as well and I love the truck.
I have been a Toyota fan many years and I worked for them through the 80s and 90s, I left just as the first gen Tundras were hitting the lot.
I have an issue with my truck, it has 115k on it and it sat for about 10 weeks, when I used it after sitting, I got the engine light and found the p2445 and p2447 codes, I found both pumps were seized so I replaced both with new units as well as the valves under the intake.
I still have the codes and have smoke tested with no leaks, I have a pair of known good drivers I tried, I checked all wiring and fuses.
I can run an auto test with my snap on triton and I hear both pumps running, it is not in limp mode currently but it was initially. Any thoughts? I didn't want to do the bypass as I like things stock, but at this point I am a thousand into it with the same issue I started with.
But to reiterate, both pumps were seized and both valves were bad so I am fine replacing then, but the codes have me baffled.
I did pull the manifold when I smoke tested and all seems fine.
I primarily work on BMWs now, so this was a delight to take apart in comparison, and it is the first repair I have had to do other than the water pump at 100k. Thanks all.
