my uncle bought a 2019 tundra and sold me his 2014 tundra. We swapped the seats out and the buckle was well. Out of my truck and his, the ONLY buckle that won’t fasten is the middle back seat buckle on my truck. Now I do notice that when it comes to the (male) metal pieces that actually insert into the buckles, there are two different shapes depending on front seat, back seat, etc and they are that one has a small square opening in the metal and the other has a bigger rectangular opening in the metal. I also checked that his metal piece has small square and mine has the big rectangle. Now if both didn’t work, I’d say we just need to swap them but only mine doesn’t work now. Any thoughts?

My .2 cents - Make sure that your not trying to buckle it into the child seat receiver...

Since it's a major safety component the dealer may fix it for free, worth a try at least.

I would swap all the belts and buckles over, I think everything is just bolted in. Or at least the one that isnt clicking in

Does it need flipped over? No issues with the tundra, but my old tacoma would only buckle one way. If turned 180 it would buckle. Just a thought.

Probably have tried this but did you test the receiver with your other belts/receivers that reach and vice versa. Also look for a foreign object in the receiver. It doesn’t take much.

Does the male buckle have a notch in the tip? The buckles on my 2019 are female specific. Just another "irritating on purpose" thing Toyota did. Toyota better get their act together or this will be my last.
