I'm on the fence about getting the kit from SDHQ, I'll be installing my ARB bumper as soon as I find some time to tackle and would put the battery tray in at the same time. Hoping to get some first hand experience with SDHQ dual battery kit? Has anyone on here had one for an extended period of time?

Mainly interested in hearing feedback on the tray itself. How well has it held up and any concerns or issues with fender holding the weight of the battery long term?

We ran the, (SDHQ 2007-2021 Toyota Tundra kit), on the late 2019 with mixed success. Liked the fact that they did install them at the left front and right front corner instead on dorking around with two group 25's on a common tray. Our current "project", a dedicated 2016 with all of 28k on it, we've a pair of Odyssey Extremes, ODX-AGM27F. One stock, left front corner location and the other passenger, right side, front of bed. Only unavoidable down side to this, battery in the bed, setup is an extra 7' run of 4/0 battery cable. Not knowing your situation nor electrical needs nor future plans? makes it kinda hard.
Tray is fine, adequate quality but you're limited to a 10 7/8” Wide x 6 7/8” Deep x 7 1/2” Tall (top of battery, not terminal) battery in stock configuration. Easy work around if you can weld or just drop their tray into a larger one. We got away with it for a couple years until our electrical needs exceeded the setup.

The SDQH kit will meet (likely exceed) any electrical needs I have with a pair of group 24 batteries and an ACR.

On the 2019, did you see any indication that the passenger fender would not handle the weight long term? A friend of mine has dual battery kit from another company in his FJ Cruiser, the fender has started to cave in slightly under the weight of the battery and tray. Obviously a very different situation, but made me stop and reconsider for a moment.

Nada .... never became an issue that we were ever aware of. At time we were running a lot of Western Forest Service so called roads with #2 crushed river rock about the size of golf balls to a tangerine....horrible crap. Got graded twice a year, if lucky, once at ice out and late Fall. Do check your hold downs occasionally and use locking hardware or jam nuts. If the battery can not move and remains one with the truck you'll be fine.

Added TRD PRO 18 in wheels, and TRD dual exhaust. More to come.
I installed this kit a few years ago on my buddies truck. Along with the SDHQ P/S res kit, and washer fluid relocation kit. It works pretty good only down side i would say he has. Is when adding washer fluid he has to use a funnel bc it's way up under front passenger windshield area now. I crammed a lot of stuff under that hood.
