Scratches on new black truck. Help please

    Hey Folks. Again need some help got home late and washed my along with my wife. So now I have a good many scratches on. It a 18 black. See pic below. Any help would be great. Hope I can do it my self. Thanks!!!3E6E7E39-6757-4A4B-844F-D59AC2E42679.jpg

    Sorry to hear that man, I’m in the same boat on line. I bought the Meguiars ScrwtchX it helped with some small chips, but didn’t do anything for those long scratches.

    Try some rubbing compound. You might need to follow it up with a polish. I hate turtle wax, but they make a rubbing compound that I’ve had good luck with at removing deep scratches. Just make sure you follow it up with a polish. I usually do the rubbing compound from turtle wax, then I do ultimate rubbing compound ffrom meguiars, and finish it up with meguiars ultimate polish. I’ve had good luck with that process

    Rule thumb is always try the lightest polish first. Save the elephant gun if you need it. Use a finishing polish with a normal pad first. If your nail sticks in when you run it across then it’s too deep for a polish or compound. Toyota is notorious for using thin coats of paint. You don’t want to blow through it.
