Scored big time! (Vintage toy thread)

The other day I was perusing FBM as I usually do and came across a guy selling an Erector set. It was the steam engine and I was stoked - the last time I saw one was in the Sandlot movie. He was asking $40.

So I reached out and asked about it but the weather was really bad so I had no intention of running out to get it. As the weather improved, he hit me up again and asked if I'd be interested in another set, a Ferris Wheel, and would I do both for $60... Uh, YES. So he drove them out to me and we did the deal. They were his grandfather's.

I plan to enjoy these with my youngster.



Anyone else enjoy vintage toys?

 

I remember building them as a kid. Not so into vintage toys now, but I’d love to get back into slot cars.
