Hello it appears I can read my tire pressure from my scangauge 2 I have a newer version then the minimum required I put in the codes but it stays empty. Is this one where you have you drive so it shows the pressure or am I doing something wrong?

I had it to read trans temp but their codes didn’t work for me I had to use one posted on here and then it worked. Does anyone have codes for tpms?

    https://www.scangauge.com/support/x-gauge-commands/toyota-lexus-scion/

I have a 2016 tundra which should be method 1 but for poops and hahas I tried method 2 which Is for newer tundras. None worked. (I only tried for TPMS 1 or TP1)

    TIA,
    Cesar

Your truck being a 2016 will be TPMS Method 1.

If you look Scangauge gives 3 different sets of codes for Method 1, for whatever reason Toyota moved the way to ask from TPMS data across the years and nobody knows why. The only difference in the 3 sets is the last 2 letters. Try all 3 of the Scangauge codes listed. The 62,38,8A

For what it is worth my 2007 only worked when I used "26" for the last two letters and Scangauge doesnt even list that one.

By the way I have the ability to program your TPMS ecu to store sensors for 5 tires so you can have one in the spare tire as well.

Just figured out how to do this the other day. It will then send data for all 5 tires to the Scangauge.

This is the response with the TPMS data using the "26" on my 2007 truck.

Tire Pressure for the 4 tires is the 4 sets of 00 underlined in yellow. (Mine are 00 because sensors are not installed in the tire at the moment)
The bottom one is the same thing but now a 5th 00 set is reported underlined in red, after I reprogramed the TPMS ecu for 5 tires.

This allows you to monitor the spare tire also if you choose to install a sensor in it.

If you don’t have Scan Gauge version 4.45 or higher like it says it the notes it won’t work. The older versions do not have the coding to properly communicate with the truck for TPMS data.

Should be good to go, let me know which last two letters work for you. I am trying to figured out if I can pin it down to certain year ranges.

I have 3 older TPMS ECUs they all use the “26” but I think that changed somewhere around 2013-2014

The ones that in in 18A worked for me.

do these change when you rotate tires or will you need to do it manually on scan gauge? According to this my spare has .9 psi I need to check it out lol

Interesting that yours showed all 5 already. All my TPMS ECUs only return 4 values in less I go in and set the ECU to store 5

Hm idk I just punched in the code for tire pressure 5. It seems like that one took a while to wake up like it hadn’t been used in the system it started at .5 psi then 1.9psi then looked back later and it was at like 25 psi the tire was at 30psi checked with a gauge so it was moving slow the other ones marked accurate off the bat

Yea just watch it in the future and make sure it comes up and seems right, it could be sending data for all 5. If not it is reading the msg checksum at the very end as the 5th sensor but if that was the case im not sure the display value would even be close to the real world value.
