Parents moved to a new house down in Seekonk MA on Dec 1. When they were moving dad and I debated if he should keep his saw or not. Ended up moving it but it’s pretty evident now he doesn’t really want it. Saw has had maybe a dozen boards ran through it tops. Starting to get some surface rust in the shed (amazing what 3 weeks can do) so would like to offload this before I head back to CA on Friday. Looking to get 3k but shoot me an offer.

    edit: also includes caster base

For those unaware why this saw is $3k, it is a table saw that keeps you from cutting your fingers off. If something organic, like a finger touches the blade it immediately retracts the blade in a split second and prevents injury. Not to mention it is a really nice table saw setup with the stand on casters and attached table. Really cool piece. Standard in most woodshops at schools now.

    Bump, and GLWS.

I would get that plastic wrap off of it so that it can breathe. It looks like there is moisture trapped in there that is causing your surface rust.

Good idea. Just wanted to keep all the pieces together. I’ll call my parents and have them take it off. Appreciate the thought!

We debated the 3hp but I didn’t feel like wiring a 220v circuit in their old basement just for the saw. The 1.75 hums.. couldn’t imagine what the 3hp is like :militarypress:.

It’s funny because the main reason my dad wants to get rid of the saw is because he says it’s “too powerful for him”. I’ve tried explaining to him that power is usually your friend with a table saw and the odds of a pine 2x4 kicking back on him with that saw are quite low. He just wants his late 70s craftsman belt driven 1/2hp back
