Yesterday I approached a residential stop sign. I stopped looked both ways and proceed thru. All in a blink of an eye truck stopped on a dime was only gong under 5mph. Every thing on my seats flew off on to the floor my head went forward . Then I seen a white car from my right pass by infront of me inches away from my front grill !! Man never seen the car when i looked for traffic when I was stopped. Thank you Toyota for your safety features !!!! This in broad daylight ! I do think the big pass.side a pillar and mirror hindered my view.

Good to hear nothing happened. It's amazing how one blink of the eye is the difference between going home, or going to the hospital.

Dam white vehicles!...Hard to see, even when they're big as a Tundra. :D

Just kidding white Tundra buds, but this thread raises a question I've thought about after not "seeing" traffic...What color is hardest to see, and does it change with road conditions? :notsure:

For me, light grey or silver blend in. Especially on a overcast day.

Can't tell you how many times ...even in my car.... the pillar blocks my view of traffic. I wait an extra second or two anymore to be sure.

Most likely. It's important to learn your vehicle's blind spots and how to see around them.
