I have the S8 30” bar for the 21 Tundra and am using the supplied BD wire harness/relay. I’m about to cut the 2 BD switches off and wire directly to a 2 pole oem style switch from CH4x4. Can anyone help in identifying which wires go from the new switch to the BD harness?

BD 2 switches supplied in harness:
    BD Red (pwr)
    BD Black (ground)
    BD Yellow (Bar-load assessor)
BD Green (Load Accessory backlight amber)

CH4x4 2 pole switch with description on pkg:
Blue (Upper-connect to your relay or accessories)
Green (Lower-connect to your relay or accessories)
Red (connect from your Source w/inline Fuse)
    Black (Ground)
Yellow (Normally connected to Dash light circuit to be ON when your dash lights are on)

I apologize if this is basic stuff. I can work with housing wiring but when it comes to auto and relay stuff, and terms like 'accessories', I’m getting confused! I've read thru tons of threads on here but my switch is a dual pole and the colors & descriptions are different. What is even more confusing is I've seen in threads on this forum that say the black wire on the amber backlighting is power, but the black on the regular LED bar switch is ground.

I used the AOB switches for mine. I'll look through my pics and see how it's wired.

For the main light, try Red to red, black to black, green to green, and yellow to blue.

I might have to pull my shifter panel to look...if I do ill write them down and post them in my build thread.

Thanks for the suggestion. It worked perfectly. The only thing I didn't hook up is the yellow dash light wire from the new switch but I did extend it towards the fuse box and will tackle that some other time. That fuse box is tucked way high up so I'm not sure I will try to connect that.
Thanks again all. Really appreciate it.

The yellow wire can be used to tap into the illumination wire on a neighboring switch. I think it's a pink wire....I'll have to look. Where did you mount the switches?

I put it in the card holder area. More of a pain than I thought it was going to be. Relocated the back window switch with the 44" cable.

Mine is from a different member that used to print them a couple of years ago but the link that @AZBoatHauler posted for @RainMan_PNW thread has what you need. I have his 6 switch panel.

heck yeah thats pretty cool wanna do a 8 panel but they are a little out of my price range so itll have to suffice, i really only want a lightbar in the bumper valance, frac mod and rear lights and that shough be about it for me unless i decide n the future to try to mount a winch somewhere, but for now im on a budget lol

Make damn sure you run that switch to a relay and power the light bar off the relay. If you try to power the light bar directly off the switch you’ll smoke it.

Basically the switch by itself cannot handle the current draw. It will burn the wiring. Most light bar harnesses come with the relay.

You 100% certain there wasn’t a relay in the BD harness you were using? They typically come with one unless you’re using their simple “upfitter” harnesses, since those are geared toward OEM circuits that have relays specifically for that type of addition.

I opt for a $5 relay and $12 switch myself.

Cause you’re looking at SwitchPros which run in that range. Auxbeam is another great option.
