S mode will down shift not upshift (Same problem from oct 10, 2023)

"So did they happen to tell your or show you the location of these switches or what these two parts look like? I recently got into my 2015 today and in S mode it will only shift down, it will no longer let me shift up. I have checked everything I know to check and I was thinking maybe I would find something in the forums, but doesn't seem like it happens to many. Thanks in advance. (OCT 10, 2023)"

Is there anyone out there who has experienced this condition and realized a remedy?

No codes, fuses check out and now "Frustrated in CT" as deer season approaches and truck camper is about ready to go! Oh yes, dealers can't get to review issue until late November
early December-Merry Christmas!!!

Is the issue the gear lever won't move in the up position, or the truck won't manually shift up a gear when commanded by the gear selector?

 

S mode doesn't manually shift. It only limits the transmission to shifting to the highest gear you have selected. For example; if you are in S Mode and set to 4th, it will never go above 4th, but will behave like normal otherwise. So if you are driving at 5 MPH it won't be in 4th, so similarly if you put it in S Mode and select 6th it won't shift up to 6th until the driving conditions would normally have it in 6th.

 

Both above points are good. Your 2007 a console shift or column shift with bench seat? May need a better / deeper description of what is happening to help you.
