S mode shifting

    Hey I own a 2008 limited tundra for little over I the year now but S mode hasn’t been operating for a while now p0717 got the turbine sensor coming in tomorrow should get it running smoother plus s mode operating but my question is can I drive dailying it like that no real abuse but I driving shifting 3-4 rpm’s mid 3.5 shifting I know it’s for hauling and towing but I’m into the exhaust shift popping noise

    Sounds like you’re in limp mode due to turbine sensor code. S mode just keeps vehicle from upshifting past chosen gear, mainly for engine braking.
