I installed the S&B system a few months ago and cannot for the life of me get the engine cover to go back on properly. The intake tube seems to large. I have tried rotating it down, but it's pretty ornery about being in it's current location. I don't think I can get it to go down any further. Has anyone else had this issue?

    Thanks!

I had s&b one time and the fit with the cover was tight and sometimes the cover pop off the front clip once away.

I notice s&b intake loss low end torque so i put back on stock intake but lack high end hp. So i added sabm more low end and midrange but not high end. So than i added trd intake with sabm still install because it uses stock bottom and its the cone style filter only for 2nd gen and made a huge difference at top end the perfect intake....

It seems to be. I've taken it out twice and reinstalled. It's so rigid I can't get it to move much. lol

I noticed quite the opposite. I had done the sabm mod and it was ok. I've been really happy with it ... I also have aftermarket exhaust so the 2 pair together nicely.

Yea, I think I'm going to end up modifying it a little bit. I don't know what else to do.

    Not many yet, mostly stock.
Did anyone do any dyno tests to prove more HP. I’m just courteous
I trued the TRD sir box and a exhaust system sounded good but wasn’t sure I got what I was striving for ... performance.
I did not do a dyno test either. Sorry to :threadjacked:, cut the engine cover to fit.
