    Great find. Thanks for sharing. I see people towing my same pin-heavy trailer with Explorers and Highlanders and it makes me cringe.

    This just goes to show you that a 1/2-ton truck of any make or model should not tow a 5th-wheel trailer. But sadly people do. I'm hoping this thread gets to those people that need insight on towing weights and capacities. I figured this video will take the guessing or questions that anyone would have regarding weight - capacity - tongue weight of towing and they will get their answers. Although many will not like the answers and still ignore what they watched in the video.

    I had thought our towing capacity is limited by payload of each individual truck. Seeing the 150# x 2 driver/pax weight figure just about verifies that assumption. By subtracting 300 from my payload comes out real close to 10% of my towing capacity.
    So, hit the gym, dump the fats, sugars, carbs and leave the wife at home and you towing capacity increases!:anonymous:
