Just noticed this yesterday, anyone else experiencing this? Think Toyota will cover the repair? I have an extended warranty .

I doubt they will pay for it but you can try. The cap rubbed the paint off over time, then rust formed. You may have to remove the caps, remove the rust and then touch up with paint. Line x the bed rails perhaps.

I am interested to see if anyone else has the same problem ? I'm going to bring it by the dealer and see what they have to say.

Well it is NOT covered. So I am going to pop off the covers and fix it myself. Has anyone removed the plastic bed caps and reinstalled successfully, or are the clips going to break ?

    Any input would be appreciated.
