What running boards is everyone using? I had got a set of Oedro 6.5 running boards last week. Today I hit a tree stump and the brackets folded (don’t ask lol). If I was off-roading the same thing would’ve happened. What running boards have better brackets? I called their customer service and they’re sending me a new set but I will get something sturdier so this won’t happen again.
Let me see your brackets and running boards if you can. Thanks

I WONT recommend iboards if you are off road or running over stumps. Mine look and function nice, but theyr no slider

All of the running boards mount very similar and will bend/break hitting things when off road. So if you off road a lot, skip the running boards, remove them when you go wheeling or get frame mounted sliders instead.

From what I've seen in differences between the two, you're right! I don't go offroading at all just a mishap on my part with the tree stump. Luckily the manufacturer is sending me new brackets.

Another vote for the RB20s. Just put them on my 21 and I really like the look and function coming from drop steps. May or may not be any sturdier than what you have now, but definitely good for every day use.

I'm also in NC - Piedmont area now, but originally from the 828 and had the Tundra up there last weekend.

I have angle iron under my step tubes and mounted to the frame and each other with channel iron. So, basically steps, sliders, side impact protection, and cat/transmission, trans case protection all in one.
