Those are one option for the running boards. Keep in mind, none of the Tundras come with running boards straight from the factory. The dealership that orders the truck can elect to have a set of them installed before they come to the dealership. That's a port installed option or PPO.

Do those stick out far enough, to provide some door ding protection in parking lots?

My 2018 came with the tubular nerf bar/ steps, but dont like them ... Too close to body for a secure foothold, and they dont extend wider than the door sheet metal.

for our use its more of snow/slush protection than door dings since we have winter about 6-9 months of the year.

Do any of you guys have (or know someone who does) Ranch Hand running boards?

I have looked at dozens of options for running boards, but since I don't have a lift kit, I want them to be somewhat low-profile. I am curious how low the Ranch Hand running boards drop beneath the rocker panels.

That's just wrong!!! As pricey as RBP products are you'd think they would hold up better than that.

I had the stock runners on my 1794. They don't provide ding protection. I opted for RB20's and they provide nice protection from doors.

Since making that Post in September, I also opted for RB20s. They were a bit fussy to install evenly & level, but am pleased with RB20 function & appearance.

    Hi nodak67,
Did you go with these? If so are you happy with them, also can you provide a link to the site that you found them on?

    Thanks!

KG option code is the factory option for the oem black running boards. it was ordered with them installed from the factory and part of the msrp pricing.

if you build a tundra on the toyota website, its $345 option by itself or part of the sunroof package for $1195 on the platinum trim.

fyi, the OEM black running boards that I see coming through on trucks today - including my 2020 1794 - are not the same as on nodak67's truck. I specifically sent my dealer a pic of those boards on nodak's truck, but my truck came in with different boards. (the ones on currently on the Toyota site).

they are fine for my purposes, but not as nice looking as the older OEM boards in my opinion.

just to add to the convo, if you are in GST/SET region you may not get the same toyota usa oem running boards. the ones being sold as KG option on toyota usa currently (june-2020) are the same ones i have on my 2018 (black running boards for $345) from the pics on the vehicle when you select that option. low hump in the front and raised hump in the back (the humps are for the option to add running board lights which is not available in the usa market for toyota)

also dont confuse the black step bars as running boards (some dealers call them running boards). they are full length like the running boards but they have a gap between the steps and truck body. i think the double cab has a different look than the crew cab versions.

non oem manufacturers like iconic makes one almost the same and westin makes one almost identical but with lights in the front/rear hump.

do you have a link for that? I don't see anything other than the "classic black" running boards on the Toyota site. That's what came through on my truck - same as pictured immediately above by thomasbus337. I'm in MA if that matters.

I just installed the classics but now that I see the KG option, I like those better. Are they available for purchase? What's the PN for DC?

Hello- does anyone know where I can purchase a set of boards like Nodak67's? I just saw them on a new Tundra Sport at the dealer and they were put on at the port, not the dealer. How do I get a set for my 16 Pro-Max?
    Thanks

Do you still have these running boards? If so how are they holding up (the plastic finish)? I really like the clean look and true cab length with no brackets hanging down. Sparks parts was nice enough to send me an exploded view drawing and parts list, put together an order that totals $1,650. My big question now is if the Toyota quality and fit is worth that much money.
