Got a set of NiLight strip light off Amazon, with courtesy, turn and running lights. I poked and probed under the dash till I found what I thought would work. I tapped into the foot light - under the steering wheel and ran that to a relay to trigger + to the courtesy lights. Found + that was triggered when the lights come on and found + that are triggered when I work the turn signals. All works great in theory. When I open the doors the courtesy part comes on but when I hit the remote to unlock the doors the running light part comes on, until I open the door. Running lights work fine But, when I hit the turn signals they do a goofy flutter instead of flashing. I’m thinking about doing two more relays to control them better. Does this look like it will work correctly?

I am unfamiliar with Nilight's kit but I have the Opt7 setup and they have a sequential action to them when I use my turn signals. Is that what you're supposed to see?

Sounds like you made it more difficult than it needed to be. I ran the wires for mine right up front and tapped the running lights and turns at the headlight.
Just zip tied the extra to the harness that was already there and called it a day. I didn't wire the courtesy lights on my set though because I don't know where to tap for dome light power and I have the cheaper OPT7 scamazon special.
