Ok i bought a set of light strips for the side of my 2016 limited 4 door, not crew max. What wires do I tap into to make this a clean installation? They are running, courtesy and turn. Are all these wires i need in the door track when i pop up the plate at the rear door?

Should be. That's where I tapped into the cargo light circuit for puddle lights. In 2018 the wire was pink. You might get a better response over in the Lighting forum.

My advice is given is upon the understanding that you assume all risks for taking said advice.
I would test everything with a multimeter before tapping into any wiring.

First thing I would do is test your mirror plug and see if your truck has a turn signal, running light, and puddle light capabilities.
Being a Limited you might just have them.
If you do you, you can follow the leads from the mirror wiring to the area behind the floorboard kick plate where they go into the door boot.

The plugs are M5 and N6 and they are found behind the door tweeter panel, you may have to remove the door panel to completely access them.
Although, you could probably remove the door sail and see if these wires are even there..

The turn signal power is pin 4
Lilac on the left, Pink on the right.
Pin 3 is ground white with a black stripe.

Puddle light, courtesy, hot is pin 6
Brown on both sides and the ground is pin 5

The running light hot is pin 9.
Beige on the left, sky blue on the right.

    Or;
I would tap into the footwell light for the courtesy lights, I'm assuming these are for when the door is open or approaching the truck and unlocking..
The beige wire on the J51 socket under the dash under the steering wheel.
Then they should fade on and fade off with the dome lights when you unlock and lock the truck.
I tapped into my puddle lights there.

The running light, as when the parking/headlights are on, the main loom to the rear runs under the truck.
You could try to find the illumination lead from the steering column light switch to the CPU.

You'll find turn signal leads in each floorboard kickplate.
But I don't have time to look for them right now.

I ran mine to the back and tapped the trailer light harness.

Yes, almost everything is back there as well, except a courtesy light feed..
No wires from inside the cab to the lights..
Just tap in back there and run wiring in your own loom up the frame..
    Good point..
