Hello everyone! Figure to contribute will all the great information that I get from here. I have a 2019 Toyota Tundra Crewmax. I installed an RSI Smartcap Evo Sport and been trying to decide if I will be installing a load bar or a top rack. I initially ordered the RSI load bars however, after a conversation with RSI, since the demand is high, they will not be even shipping until January to their authorized dealers. I then decided to look at the Prinsu top rack since I have a prinsu roof rack. I installed a Universal Top Rack 5.5' X 54". From the Youtube and all research that I did, which I found mostly Tacomas. The concern that I have is that it was hitting the gullwing doors when opened, which is not the case when you have a Tundra. From the most video that I saw also, is that most people are installing only two mounting brackets on each sides because of the nut plate not fitting the track the RSI Smartccap comes with. I had to cut the nut plate with a grinder, total of 12. It was not bad if you have a steady hand, crimped it with a vice grip and clamped it to the bed of the truck as I was doing my precision cutting. Hope this helps someone in the future.

Thanks everyone. I will be taking pictures of the truck a bit. brevard828, don't be. Drilling through the cab can be intimidating, when you do it, make sure to move the liner so that you can see where you're drilling and away from the airbags. Take off the grab handle and look at it. I bought the rack when it was on sale and when I inquired for the installation, its more expensive than the rack itself. Make sure to watch the videos, read the instruction that it comes with and you should be fine. I installed the rack 2020, up to now, no leaks. Make sure to put a lot of silicone RTV as you are compressing the nut and installing the bolt. Then I put another blob of silicone around it once its torqued. If I can do it. you can my friend.

What was the purpose silicone on top of those prinsu to smartcap interface bolts? Is it not going into a t-nut in the channel?

Trying to prevent exposure from weather elements, dirt, grime, increasing the possibility of corroding. I pretty much copied the instruction when I installed my Prinsu roof rack.
