I'm not being a stick in the mud here, I got the shaft from a so called " good Vendor here" and I didn't......
Anyway a little more description would be helpful in your defense to help get the troops rallied here.
Looking at you pic's yeah that sucks the corn hole and I'd be pissed too but what's the load rating for the lift, what type of lift is it (bags, springs shocks) and how many pounds is that flooring?

I'm betting those rear coils that come with the RC kit are still stock load rated. Time to hit up Dobinson's.

If you need to do real truck stuff rarely enough that it doesn't make sense to buy a 3/4 ton or 1 ton, the 2nd gen is still a fantastic option.

Remember that ranch that Toyota gave a 2nd gen Tundra to and told them to go ahead and overload it and abuse it? They used that 2nd gen to pull 12 cattle (@ ~1200 lb each) and a massive water tank for 100,000 miles. The ranchers said truck was in better shape than the HD trucks they were using previously. Toyota tore it apart afterward and didn't find any issues.

PS: Rough Country sucks no matter what gen you're driving. :hattip:

I bitched about the price of the Toyota airbag system on my tundra when I bought it but it's spot on and great when carrying a load.

You'd be surprised how many different brands are made in the same overseas factories. Rough Country actually stepped up their game a lot after Covid. Some RC stuff is now being made in Dyersburg, TN where their R&D facility is also located and RC switched factories overseas that were manufacturing their larger hi lift kits that had known issues with QC. RC is very affordable for many on a limited budget.

I’m not sure why the OP is so surprised about this result. This is exactly what lifted trucks look like when you put load on them without any load assist.

My favorite thing is watch the bros back down their 6” lifted squatting trucks at the boat ramp.

Vinyl flooring is very heavy. I wouldn't be surprised if that was closer to 2000+ lbs in the bed. Last time I bought vinyl flooring I was about half that high in my bed and I was a good 1400 lbs (that was in the Chevy though). That was some pretty dense Vinyl though...

@B.Ross Looks like you got about 100 ea 2x4x8' Kiln Dried DF or Pine studs in there so about 800-1200lbs depending on moisture content maybe could be 1200-1400 lbs if it was still green. We know we know...all the 3ed gen owners should have bought 2nd gens......

@Battousai Share the brand of Vinyl flooring and how many boxes ya got in the bed, lets get an idea what kind of weight caused that amount of squat.

Don't know the specific product but... here is one example I found with a quick google
    upload_2024-6-4_16-49-51.png

My calculator tells me that works out to 1,456.9 lbs. Squat looks about right for that.

A lift kit does what is supposed to do. It lifts the truck. However fussing and saying it sucks because it squats is simply and expectation issue. A lift doesn’t mean no squat.
Unless you get stiffer springs you’re just getting a lift. However if you get stiffer springs that don’t squat the ride will get significantly stiffer and then people fuss about how it rides.

I know it’s a bit different but the best thing I did for my 2019 that squatted was the road active suspension. But it’s designed to help stop squat. I know they don’t make it for this truck but still.

find something that stiffens up the rear. I will also guarantee it will cost more than the rough country stuff as well. This doesn’t mean rc sucks but it seems to mean you don’t want to pay for the proper suspension that will keep the truck from squatting under a load. The rough country suspension isn’t designed to stop squatting under weight but to give the truck a lift. Very different things. Just a thought.
