If it's a spacer lift, it will ride like this

Nothing wrong with Rough Country lifts. Lots of trash talk is about old lifts from a decade or two ago.

I installed the ready lift 3 inch lift with upper contol arms. Highly recommend. This kit corrects the ball joint angles.

Not all RC kits are trash. There are some that come with coilovers.

Well, Dave, not everyone has the same experiences so what you know isn't the same as what others will know and that's a good thing. Thank God for the capacity for individual rational thought and the ability to form one's own opinion.

Nothing wrong with any spacer lift as long as ball joint angles are corrected with upper control arms. Rough country makes some good stuff and bad. Just like icon, precomp, Skylifter etc. Many here are running the Wescott designs collar lift because they think it is the best. It is probably the worst because you are binding your ball joints and throwing off the original geometry design. Everyone has an opinion. Truth be known most of the lifts available today are not really designed for pure off road performance. They are designed and sold for the majority of people that use their vehicles as everyday drivers. After all who is going to pay 75k for a vehicle and run it through the woods or trails everyday.

This Tundra forum is the first place I've ever seen such dedicated defense of Rough Country lifts. What an atrocity.

I'd buy one over many of the other brands out there. I think you just like to put people down that have an opinion different than yours. That's the whole problem in this country. A forum like this is supposed to join people together that all enjoy discussing and customizing trucks. We don't all feel the need to keep up with the Jones.

I've had the 3.5" Rough Country lift for about 1,000 miles. I was really concerned it would be a drastic change in ride quality but it's been much better than expected. It is *slightly* bouncier than stock but not at all enough to make me regret getting it. I haven't had the chance to do much off road in my Tundra yet so I can't speak for capability or ride quality in that regard. For daily driving I've been really happy with it.

Haha! I recognize that view! I live in TD by the hospital, pretty sure I have seen that truck around. I have an Army Green picked up 2 months ago, and just got my plates. I originally had my deposit on a Lunar Rock that was the Toyota Rep's demo, but the date it was going to be available kept getting pushed back, and an Army green which I wanted in first place became available. I'm short so I was just going to do the front end lift, as towing my travel trailer is my main purpose for truck, but have to say the 3.5" looks pretty darn good!

I wish they still made Cement Tundras. I’d love to have a new one in that color.

@GTundra2022 - Looks good. I also have an Army Green Limited. Do you have the rear air suspension? If so, what did you use for the rear lift?

I’m sure I’ve seen yours too! I’m glad you got the color you wanted. I love that army green. Lunar rock was my first choice and I was super surprised when the allocation came up. I’m short too, and was concerned that the lift and 35’s would make it hard for my kids and I to get in, but it isn’t bad at all. And that’s what running boards are for
