    Hello y'all!

So I'm looking to install a roof basket and all options I have found online requires a roof rack, which is fine with me.

The problem is I can't find a roof rack that won't cost me an arm and a leg and look good in the same time! :sawzall:

I go camping with my kids very often during the year, hunting, fishing.. etc and I would like the extra space on the top plus I would like to mount a light bar in front of basket and couple of lights on the back of it (Without making any holes in the roof itself - I can do some simple welding on the basket for the lights if I have to).

Anyone here has a roof rack/ basket and can show me their setup or might direct me into a cheap steady option? :gossip:

I've actually been shopping for these as well. Everyone has a different version of cheap. How much are you wanting to spend?

I found couple of racks on Amazon and Harbor Freights between $70-$90 that can hold up to 150lbs which is more than enough due to me needing it for tents, chairs, maybe a canoe o_O

The racks though, all what I can find was above $150 and I would like to stay below the $100 mark.. I rather spend the extra bucks on stuff more important.

I could be wrong but I don't think you need both a rack and basket. Maybe I'm confused by what you mean. I'm looking to mount a basket on my camper shell and I've been looking at used ones on Facebook marketplace.

One of our members @toyotech2016 makes them for our trucks and they look great.

I like the one he has and I like his setup - I do like your setup too (I was on your Build Thread - Those campers are growing on me but I use my bed for my 4Wheeler & the Dirt Bikes)!

This is the basket I have found on Harbor Freights - I don't like that big space because of the racks below it but it's the cheapest option:

Also, SmittyBilt make some great ones but they are $400+ and $80+ for bolt-in roof bracket

Hey. They are sold as a kit. Basically you’ll just have to buy the crossbars to complete the kit. I do include the site on where to get them. My tundra access cab kit is $335 plus shipping.

Thank you. This is little bit out my price range but I'm gonna keep you in my mind just in case that commission money came hefty this month :D

On your truck, who makes the storage containers you have strapped to your rack?

That truck is funny because I planned a roof rack like that, I have an American flag sticker in almost that same spot, and I was planning on doing black vinyl on my hood. I just wish my truck was that color.
