Anyone have any experience/knowledge regarding airbag function with rock sliders? Im thinking about putting on sliders but not sure how or if they affect airbags in the event of a crash. With the load transferring to the frame is it possible side airbags dont go off? Or possibly the timing is off? I got kiddos in the back and I may not want the sliders if it changes the vehicles safety negatively.

I’m no expert but here’s my take FWIW. The airbags are triggered by accelerometers and I don’t see how adding sliders would make any difference in their deployment. Bottom line, I would not worry about it.

I installed white knuckle rock sliders ( with heavy thickness option) on my 19 limited for two reasons; aid getting in and out and for the added side impact protection.
After being a 20 captain on the fire department, responding to hundreds for crashes they only make sense to me.
Also keep “door dings” away as a bonus...
