Hi all! I'm coming in from an '18 Wrangler Rubicon that I've off-roaded occasionally in North Georgia. I started out with an old Jeep CJ-7 back in college in south Florida (Boca Raton, also where i grew up). My current jeep was my 6th jeep but i'm tired of the rough rides and the noise (softtop) as a daily driver. Maybe I'm just getting old. ;-) Besides that, I'm moving back down to the east coast of Florida soon (Stuart) and will be buying a boat so I needed a truck to tow it anyway. Also, my 2005 4-runner was the best vehicle I've ever owned. Sold it, stupidly, when it had 160k miles on it and it still drove like new and never had a single problem. Looking to get back into the Toyota reliability, though a little nervous about it as I see so many youtube videos about people who don't like their tundra. Hoping that's mostly just people looking for views and being overly critical.

I'm picking up my 2023 Black Platinum 4x4 at noon today! Lets go!

Welcome!! I came from a wrangler JK to a tundra. Still wish I had it for a different type of build.

Funny thing. You see that I've had 6 of them. I always ended up going back to them. I love them for what they are and loved the nice days with the top and doors off! But, I need the truck for a boat and really wanted a better daily driver and for long trips. Even though i smoothed out my jeep by putting good shocks on, the long trips could be a little taxing with the road/wind noise and the loose steering that they all really have. I got used to the steering for the most part and loved watching others try to tame it! One day, maybe, i'll have a 2nd vehicle and it will be an old 80's CJ-7 for beach days!

100%! My jku build plan was going to be a genright kit. Maybe I'll add one later they're great rigs in their own way. Great for the narrow trails here in the PNW.

I installed a dynatrac endurosport 2" lift on my rubicon that came with fox shocks. Have 35s on it. Thought it was pretty perfect.jeep.jpg
But, it's going bye-bye today! :( Sad to see it go, but excited about the Tundra!

OOOF that is a sweet rig, mind to share your experience with it and reason to let go of it? I would love to own one someday

I loved it for what it was. For a daily driver, it's ok, but gets a little loud and taxing on long road trips. Even with that, i would have kept it if I made enough money to keep it and a truck, but I don't. And, I now need a truck for towing a boat that is in my near future.
