Can anyone confirm that the Denso sensors that Rock Auto sensors are comparable to OEM parts? Their price ($40) for the front sensor is more than half the cost of the dealer price. I'm willing to pay dealer prices if it makes a difference (especially since I'm haunted by this CEL problem), but if these parts are identical then I will go with Rock Auto.

    Thanks

They work. Save the money. I bought them myself cause I had the check engine light on my 2000 4.7L and the light's gone. The shop did have to take 4 hours to weld in new exhaust pipes cause of how bad the old sensors were rusted in so that's always fun.

I replaced two on my 2000 with RA Denso units and they worked fine

Here are the Denso sensors at Rock Auto for my 06 4.7. Did not see a Denso front sensor for~$40.00. The front sensor is much higher than the rear sensor. Are they not the same. My plan is to order them after I rule out vacuum leaks and maf sensor. Anyone know if a faulty maf could cause the po138 code? Also, running a can of Seafoam in tank of fuel to see if that helps with the po138 code that comes on every 50 or so miles.

There are different ones for different years.
Go to Mcgeorge Toyota or Toyota parts deal. Put in your vin and search the part.
You will get two part numbers
Upstream and downstream. You need two of each.

Then get that number and enter into rock auto and you will get the right Denso part.

you will need 2 different ones. (4 total). Two upstream and two downstream.

I just did mine. So far working great

Denso is the OEM manufacturer for Toyota

    https://www.densoautoparts.com/

Enter the details about your truck, and it will identify the applicable parts including O2 sensors. Buy them at Rock Auto, Summit Racing, or another Denso authorized reseller. Do NOT buy from sites know for counterfeits (ie. Scamazon, Fleabay, et al).

Before you replace clean the MAF sensor and TB with some throttle body cleaner spray

disregard - use CRC MAF cleaner spray

Only use MAF cleaner on the MAF. Throttle body cleaner will damage your MAF sensor
