    After about a month of being home and nurtured, the first mod was to debadge his emblems. Removal of Tundra badge on driver and passenger doors, 5.7L front quarter badges, and 4x4 badge on tailgate.

    A week or so later Husky Weatherbeaters were installed on front flooring and Weathertech full back seat in rear.

    April 3, 2015
    A visit to a local tinting shop for some new shades and a little bling. Retinted 4 door windows and back window to 20%, and windshield to 70% (3M Crystalline).
    Custom stripes on bed sides, a hood treatment and we were on our way.

    April 15, 2015

    Dropped my truck off at a local day care center, SDHQ! When I picked him up, "WOW", a face lift (new pre runner front bumper, skid plate and some sweet LED light bars) and body mount chops. What a lucky little boy... when you eat your veggies, you get big and strong! :broccoli:

    Hydro dipped rear tail lights and back up light. My first time attempting such a feat after watching numerous YouTube videos. Backup light was so so, first tail light was my best effort.

    This kit can be found on Amazon, Black Dead Hedz Skulls Hydrographics Kit
    This guy has some very good instructional videos that walk you through every phase so you really can't F it up. I believe there is a total of 8 videos.
    I'm thinking of doing my interior trim items and engine cover in addition to my lights. Here is a link to website also. Lots of patterns and different sized kits. Enjoy!

    Ordered some Rock Sliders from All Pro, waiting for powdercoating to be finished. I know there are many opinions on this subject as to the finishes. Most say to prime and can paint, but that just doesn't seem good enough to me. I'd be touching them up every weekend, no thanks. I'm getting them done in a thicker application with a textured finish. Should be done sometime next week hopefully.

    I won't be literally crawling over any rock piles, ever!

    I was going to mention you will be touching up if the powder if you're wheeling...but doesn't seem like you are.
    is the pre-runner bumper steel or aluminum? I want an nice aluminum bumper...but wow, they are up there in price..hopefully in the next year or two...its on my list, but not high up there. Other things I want done first.

    Your Pro build has got to be one of the best going on. Pretty gutsy in a good way. Live right here on Tundras. The hydro dipping turned out to be a pretty good match with Inferno. You seem to have this well thought out.

    I do a lot of desert running but not a lot of actual rock stuff. If I am crossing rocks, it's slow, and definitely not going over anything that I could bottom out on or bump off of. I saw a pic in someone else's post of a side impact accident with the sliders and they really protected the truck. One other reason I like them besides their looks. I believe my front bumper is steel, but not 100% sure. I probably should know, lol. I ordered the sliders in DOM. I'm guessing they would be similar?

    What's' cool about Tundras.com is that you have folks who bought a Tundra and may never go beyond aftermarket tires to the guys like yourself who take the plunge and everything thing in between. Most off road mags have builds but they go to press 2 months in advance. No interaction with the builder. Here you can interact realtime with the builder,get ideas,give advice,ask questions,whatever. It's everyman's (women) Tundra site. There are always a lot guests here. Guests=Don't be afraid to chime in!!! Join !Anyways what's next Robert?

    I agree with you, this site and the feedback and help from everyone has been a blessing. To add to Sean's banning post on Tundras Live, all my experiences here have been positive, everyone is friendly, and here to help each other. Just like a big group of friends! After my sliders get installed, Ill have to wait a little to save up some more cash, but I do want to address the rear bumper with a nice chunk of steel, maybe a built in winch? I'm almost certain too on the addition of the Auburn PRO. I have been looking into those truck tents also... well see how much more trouble I can get into. :)

    I have everything lined up for the Auburn. Hope to pull that off shortly. (Waiting for bonus). Next would be the sliders. There are some nifty truck tents. Have you seen those small self-contained trailers that carry various expedition goodies? (AZ desert)

    Would complement the truck tent. Forgot where I saw it. Maybe 4WD Toyota Owners mag.

    Something along this line would be my dream setup... Rear bumper setup, winch, rack and tent. This is a 2007 truck though and I haven't seen anything like this yet for the newer Tundras...

    Thinking the tent should should fit 3rd gen bed. Need to find out who made the rear bumper and other doo-dads. Like the rear winch setup. Rather winch to back of truck than the front. Not as much tinkering to do with rear suspension.

    I put Powerfilm panels on my list of to do's. My property is off the grid and I don't always want to take my small gas generator. Not exactly a mod but very useful and practical for the money. (doesn't take up much space either)

    The problem with a rear winch is you can't use it to pull you up the trail past a obstacle you can't get past. You can only pull yourself out backwards. Unless you drive the trail in reverse.

    If you are primarily using it to winch logs' it's much easier to winch the logs from the rear where you can position them next to a trailer to make easier to load them and do quicker turns like using a winch on a CAT. Not unusual at all. The way we did it in Oregon.

    No one I know with rear mounted winches uses them to pull themselves forward past obstacles. Not their purpose. lol. Obviously the majority of folks with winches here will put them to use in recovery situations , overcoming obstacles, and maybe even some for looks and will rarely be ever used. Not all Tundra owners are building "rock crawler" trucks (which are COOL ). After all, this site is not called " Hard Core Full Size Rock Crawler Tundras Only.com." HCFSRCTO.com lol

    I hope tat2ude39 can find that rear bumper. How about front and rear winches? Problem solved. :headbang:
