Had a road rage incident yesterday, no one got hurt. In the slow lane going 10 mph over the limit and the guy behind me wanted me to go faster, tailgating, beating his hands on the wheel and flipping me off. When the car next to me pulled into a turn lane he swerved into the lane and then swerved back in front of me almost clipping me. Then the light was red so he had to hit the brakes. I was turning off that road so gave him the horn, the international peace sign and went on my way. All that to say I’m thinking about dashcams. When I do a search on here I get all posts with the word dash in it. Any search tips or any suggestions on a good dashcam?

As state troopers were coming through traffic up the middle of two lanes with lights and sirens, some jerk was running up right behind them before traffic could close back in.
Idiot had to stop as I pulled back into my lane from right and had the gall to honk at me. It was bumper to bumper traffic.
He barely got by as he almost hit the car coming back into left lane and I gave him a nice finger salute and a loud FU out my open window.
He almost clipped three more cars ahead of me.
Karma will probably get him, but it would have felt better to wring his neck.

Yeah these was a piece of me that wanted him to clip me… I’m sure the Tundra would have handled that Ford Fusion with ease and likely spun him out

I live in Clark County, Wa and work down in Oregon. So, I do a lot of driving into and through Portland, Or. For the most part, those mfers don't know how to drive. Washington drivers aren't much better :rofl::rofl: I just ordered this: RedTiger 4k Dash Cam Front and Rear along with a Dongar Dash Cam Power Adapter

I would be very careful about escalating a road rage situation. I would have backed off and let him pass. It just isn't worth it.

I know someone that got six slugs put into his car which three hit him. Never caught.

I also have had a .40 cal put into my drivers door.

dash cam front and rear is a great idea.

It plugs into the cigarette lighter, but I hid all the wires behind the panels.

Agreed! That’s why I made my turn and went on my way. If he had misjudged the distance and ended up wrecking…. That’s where the camera would come into play. I’m too old for that crap and like to think I’m wiser. Glad you survived that assault

What @ColoradoTJ said, not worth your life or anyone else you’re with if things go south. Best to put the ego aside and just move on, give them space and don’t even look at them, most of them want a reaction from you. Working for the FD, we respond to the aftermath of road rage all the time and the outcome’s never good.

I've seen a bunch on Amazon for different mounts. But I'm not in a rush get one, I rarely roll my back window down and when I do it's only a few inches

Ran across a rear dash cam mount that mounts using the headrest of the backseat. Looks pretty nifty. Says it's for Gen 2.5, but I'm pretty sure it can be used on any Gen Tundra with a rear seat headrest. Toyota Tundra 2.5 gen rear camera mount

Just found a plastic clip from an old Alien Gear holster kit that I'm not using anymore. Cut the nub off one side and sanded it down a little and should fit perfectly.

Hell, this was two days ago in my city in broad daylight. Happens all the time. I don't flip people off or even acknowledge their presence.
