Do you need to upgrade the alternator for a dual battery system set up? I'm looking to add some accessories to my 2007 toyota tundra and going with a dual battery set up. similar to the genesis off road series set up. there is no mention to upgrade the alternator to a larger size and wondering if this is necessary. I appreciate the feedback.

Had the Genesis Dual Battery (Odyssey) in my Tundra now for going on 2 years and works great. No problems. Was also running a ARB fridge in the truck bed fulltime but the Leer installed wiring was just not strong enough for the fridge load. Have a Goal Zero Yeti 1400 we use for camping so I installed in the rear connected to solar panels on Pioneer platform on roof and works great. The down side of the Genesis setup is the limitation to Group 25 batteries with 65 a/h's. I am planning on installing a Redarc DC/DC charger to bump up charge to Aux battery but also to connect a solar panel to Aux battery as well.
