Anyone having problems with ridge grapplers handling in the rain? My tires spin all the time when it rains. Spun out going up a small hill at a light for what seemed forever just to get passed the intersection. 2007 4x4 sr5

Ive had ridge grapplers for 60k miles on my 4runner with zero issue. I will get them for the tundra as well.

    They are great tires.

What psi are you running OP?

Yes mine spun in the rain as well. I sold them with 16k miles but I don't recall when exactly that started. But I switched to Toyo OPEN COUNTRY A/T III and I'm at about 6k miles and they spin too. I assume its a RWD truck thing :notsure:

Part of it is if it hasn't rained in a while, the roads will be a little slicker due to oils and fluids on the roads.

Yes, mine ha e about 45,000 miles on them and are slick in the rain. No where near as bad as the bfg ko2s I had on my Tacoma, those were dangerous.

No issues with my RG’s…but those KO2s were horrible on wet roads.

Dang. I was going to go with the Toyo at3 after my falken woldoeaks go, which have been flawless, just because of the tire weight difference. I guess I’ll have to rethink this one.

Just to be clear, i only spin when doing a u turn in the rain. Regular driving is fine. I still like the at3 very quiet compared to the grapplers

My Terra Grapplers were terrible in the rain on my 2016 Limited. I was running 35 PSI in them because anything less and the felt very sloppy. My 2021 came with Michelin AT2's and so far they do great in the rain.....and yes I know they are not very aggressive AT tire but I drive in rain way more than mud.

Wildpeaks do it to me too. Only tire that hasn’t has been Michelin Defenders. No getting around it

I think driving in rain should be almost like driving on snow or ice, one just needs a little weight on the rear axle. I personally have not tested this theory yet.

Mine were way worse when pulling the boat. I could not pull away from a stop light or stop for one (even with trailer brakes). That's when I realized a good looking tire was not worth putting my truck, boat, and personal health/injuries of others at risk. I think the bigger question is how do you use your truck and buy the tires that fit the need.....they do look good though!
