Has anyone here reverted their truck to stock or almost stock from lifted?
My 16 is currently lifted with 6112's on the top setting with 295/60/r20's. The truck looks great and I love it but I don't take it offroad anymore and it rides like a wood wagon on 20" E rated tires.
Shortly after the fiscal year ends I'll be starting my own business that requires alot of Hwy miles so mpg will become a more of a concern as well.
I originally intended to give the 3rd Gen a few months to get its bugs worked out but it's not looking good.
Ive now been toying with the idea of bringing the 6112's down to 1.9, getting rid of the 0 offset wheels for 25-30ish offset, and running 275/60r20's. In that size I could run a C rated tire and have less sidewall flex when towing my TT.

So has anyone done something similar? Have you regretted it? I'm afraid if I go this route I'll end up missing my current setup.

You won't see much of mpg change at all.

14-15 all interstate depending on fuel blend. If run 2 lane roads with 55mph speed limits I get 15-16. Thats after correction for tire size using gps

Just put it back to what it was. It's easy to go back and forth on a mild lift but once the crossmember's been cut I think that's another ballgame. I'll never go back to stock mainly for that reason.

Sounds like a lot of money and effort for what... a ~1 mpg gain on a truck you currently love as it stands?
