Never let the Wife drive the Tundra! Anyway my lovely wife reversed slowly into a solid fixed object (tree) I think she stood on the brake the instant she made contact . Pushed the right rear bumper in about 1.5 inches, zero body damage, even the bumper isn’t damaged. Seems like I could remove the bumper and replace a mounting bracket? Maybe straighten the whole thing out. Anyone have experience with this? Is it as simple as I’m thinking?

Simple if it’s not rusted. If the bolts are rusted, you may want to use an impact to get it off. I already broke one of the bolt heads off to the bracket support with my extended socket wrench.

Hook a chain to bumper and said fixed object (tree) and drive forward slowly.

Yeah. Me too. That's why it seems to be the obvious answer. Screw taking things off and trying to straighten. Got more leverage ON the truck.
