Hi everyone, this is my first thread on these issues that I also had on my 2012 Tundra 4.6 engine. I also had a pump failure with water in it on bank 1. Still got the same codes even after fixing the pump.
Investigating and running tests on all items, pumps, solenoids, relays I came down to the same denominator.
First though, I feel that the filter that Toyota put in on all the cars is a factory defect leading to the cause of failure. I say this after working for 14 years as an R&D tech engineer for Allergan. I check and cross check everything comparing results on components. The snorkel used on Tundras has a soft sponge like filter. This erodes over time or faster if a rodent takes a liking to it. The crumbs break off and get sucked into the pump. Being soft they melt rather quickly freezing the pump which in turn causes the spindle to heat up and burn the plastic on the fan and stop working. Next condensation from malfunction case the pump to fill up with water and burn out. Now, you get codes 2441-2445 or a 0412,0413 etc to show up when your truck has no power or burning tons of gas. Sound Familiar? Perhaps an Error Air injection pump, bank 1 or two failure. Ah, now that you remember. To pass Smog, you cannot fix with a kit to bypass unless a smog person overlooks your tampering. So here is the fix as I have dealt with my errors shown.

Here is how I fixed my truck. Tested both pumps, red positive, black negative. Bad pump replaced. Removed what was left of filter and put a small mess wire screen over ports to keep rodents out. Replaced both Solenoids on the manifolds. Sine my Pump 1 was the only pump out and 2 was working, I ordered the part online much cheaper then the dealer. Auto zone had the pumps and both solenoids.

( hint- replace one, wait a week and go back to Autozone with the other, they might replace for free under warrantee. ;-) ). Then you must replace the same air flow driver related to the pump that burned. My case was bank 1 black. Bank 2 is brownish. Clear codes and test run 4 cycles of driving.
Yay, My truck is fixed, and it didn’t cost me 4000 + as quoted. I paid about 460.00.

Here is my take on what is wrong. Toyota in no defense of them designed a poor filter system to filter fresh air from outside thru the snorkel on my truck for the pumps. A little glue to hold I place. Thru hot and cold air and age the foam broke down and was sucked into the pumps. One survives little of crumbs, the other took a major hit that it could not push thru. The spindle on the pump overheated from trying to push hot melted plastic thru it causing the pump to spin loose and no longer work. The material that got thru then went thru the tubes to the solenoids positioned on the hot manifolds which melted all over them and caused both to fail. Since pump 1 went bad it shorted out. That caused bank 1 air injection control driver to fail. Bank 1 on my truck is Black

After testing my truck, Zero codes and ready to smog.
