    Orig post:

I'm not getting any ABS lights but at around 1 to 5 miles an hour I can feel the pedal change and I hear that sound on the front right brake - both are what I observe when the ABS is kicking in. and then it suddenly pulls to the left which supports that theory.

sounds exactly like what happened in this thread:
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/slow-speed-abs-activation-fixed.131442/

coincidentally, I just replaced my 2883's with my new dobbies and I had the shop replace the upper ball joints because of some other odd noises. I probably should've done like others and just got new upper control arms with the upper ball joints already installed

so a lot went on that could've potentially affected the positioning of the ABS sensor

Anyone else had any experiences like this? I'm letting the shop check this out but not sure how adept they are at troubleshooting ABS issues although I did pass this potential issue along to them

I had a shop years ago, do my steering rack on my 03 Tacoma and this happened. They refused to do anything about it, so I pulled the ABS fuse. Truck was fine after that.

More recently me and @Mr.bee changed out my spindles and my ABS started acting up once we put it back together. I think I just need to pull em apart again and try to reseat the sensors. But I'm not sure. If I can't figure it out, I'll look into pulling the ABS fuse.

    thanks

i'm thinking since they had to pull the spindle off to press in the upper ball joint, the sensor got bumped.

I had the same problem after doing suspension work in 2019. Nothing I tried fixed it. I gave up and pulled both ABS fuses.

On my 02 there are two fuses under the hood. On John's 06 there is no way to remove the ABS fuse.

Looks like it was related to the O-ring. So far so good

and it was doing it every time you were on the brakes below 5 mph

Mine did that when the tone rings were out of whack, so it's a sensor issue.

The o ring look old and stretched. I'm thinking it happened when they took the knuckle off to replace the upper ball joints. And then they took it off and cleaned it after I hd the problem and put it back on and Didn't realize they pinched the o-ring which caused it not to seat correctly. The owner took it off and caught that
