    Hello,

I am considering a gen 2 Tundra, this came up from the inspection.

It doesn't seem to be currently leaking although it is wet, seller wants $16,000 firm. For offroad and tow use.

Dealer service records are complete, but no mention of this repair. Is this the reason the car was sold at auction? Would somebody have replaced the steering rack but reused an old wet boot?

I’d bet that the rack is currently leaking slowly, and that there is fluid built up in the boot and weeping through.
