Does anyone have a recommendation for replacement hood support struts? (Dealership wants $278 to replace / install them.)

I've searched Amazon and 4WheelParts, and I don't see anything that fits a 2.5 Gen Tundra or that have many positive reviews.

Has anyone changed these recently who could recommend replacement parts?

Rock auto has some aftermarket ones for $17 each side. Calls them “hood lift” rather than strut, so maybe search around additional places for that term.

oem parts are about $68 per side at Sparks:
    Left: 534500c050
    Right: 534400c050

Mine are also starting to fail. I haven't replaced them yet, but when I do, I'll probably just grab some from Rock Auto.

Thank you. I wasn't familiar with Rock Auto, but it seems to be a comprehensive site for searching for parts. Thanks for the suggestion.

I just recently replaced both of mine. The swap out was easy.

Did you use Toyota OEM parts, or Rock Auto?
