    Finally replacing the head unit.

Looking at Kenwood, I like having a volume knob, if my wife needs to run it down. Need wireless Android Auto, especially navigation.

Anything I should watch out for? I think I'll get it from James (tech12volts), I already had new amp, speakers and subs installed, so could probably use some help with the current wiring.

Couldn't justify $1000+ for just better sound, when I already spent about $1500 replacing everything, but I knew it needed to happen at some point. My cell USB-c jack is failing, but I can use wireless charge, so I need the navigation, and factory only supports wired. So, $1000 for a new cell just for the plug or a new HU...wireless, better display, better sound...

    Any help appreciated!

I recently installed a Kenwood 1057 and I really like it, but just an FYI, my Android Auto doesn't always want to connect wirelessly. Kind of annoying.

I've been plugging it in, and will be going back to the stereo shop to see if it's just a setting or what, but it seems like I've heard others mention similar connectivity issues.

So if you're getting the new HU solely to get wireless Android Auto, you may want to research this.

That being said, the Kenwoods are pretty sweet! (Gotta' have the volume knob!)

Good to hear, congratulations!Did they tell you the fix, if I do the same, and have the same issue?

    Thanks!

I think it was something I did when I was playing around with the settings.

I inadvertently turned on wifi or something so it was trying to connect to a network that didn't exist.
