Hi everyone. I’m brand new here and I posted a message in the general forum and got a lot of responses really quickly. I can already tell I’m going to love being part of this Tundra community. Right now I’m just waiting to pick up my 2021 Army Green 1794. One thing I’ve done with every car I’ve owned is put in my own head unit. Crutchfield says all of the 2 DIN units I want will fit, but that they do not recommend replacing the stereo because of the stock speakers being paired with the aftermarket stereo amp. I admittedly cannot do this work myself because I have a broken back with 2 surgeries and it would just be impossible. But I figured some people here had to have done what I’m interested in doing. Can I maintain my factory amp and pair it with the new head unit? Do I have to replace all of the JBL speakers? Looking for any an all advice here because I spend 30-40k miles a year on the road and I like my entertainment system to be exactly what I want. I’m sure you all get that. Thanks!
