Replacement key for '07

Folks,

I only got one key with my new-to-me '07 Sequoia. I ordered another key from Toyota. The parts guy told me I couldn't program the new key myself. It had to be done through the Service Dept. and would cost $180.

Is that true? The internet says false--I have to do a bunch of ignition on and off and door open and close sequences, but it looks like I can DIY it.

You can very much do it yourself. The below Google search and the AI response should work with no problem. Of course there are other good links assoc with that search.

Yup, exactly what I saw when I did my search. I just wanted to hear from an actual 1st Gen owner.
