Replacement Glass for Mirrors

Hello.
I just purchased replacement glass for my mirrors. I have taken off the old mirror just fine. I have this housing unit that clamps back into the mirror unit itself. I am having trouble taking this off. Any suggestions? I’ve tried YouTube and haven’t had much luck.

The second picture are “directions” on what I’m supposed to do.

Aftermarket mirrors may/may not fit; some of them are made for aftermarket housings, not all of which are compatible with Toyota OEM units.

I bought my Tundra used, and it had one OEM housing and mirror and one aftermarket housing and mirror. I monkeyed around with them for a long time before realizing they were different and not at all compatible with the mirrors I bought. I ended up ordering a used OEM housing and mirror from Ebay.
