I replaced my water pump on my 2010 SR5, V8. It was grinding.

When I came home Sat after work I put truck in reverse to back in the driveway. Power steering wasn't working. I got it in the driveway and shut it off, under truck coolant is raining out.

Look at resevoir and it is empty. Looked like I had fluid on underside of water pump so I started tearing it apart.

Finished replacing water pump on Sunday night. When I was done loaded it up with Zerex and let it run, no drips or anything.

I run to the store this AM. No problems. As I am going to pull out of store to come home I experience no PS (I think its from serp belt slipping when fluid is showing up). I also got the AT temp light and truck shut off. Started back up and it did it again as I was backing into driveway.

I get backed in and I dont have near as much fluid running out but it appears to be coming off the drivers side lower part of the radiator.

Thoughts? What should I do next. Today it is only about 80 degrees. Saturday on way home it was 95 out.

I have the radiator out but dont see anything obvious.

Only thing is it looks like the coolant was flung off tip of fan and onto underside of hood and off to side making a circle. I think it then collected in fan shroud and ran down where it was dripping.

Maybe bad radiator, thermostat, radiator cap.

Test leaks, you need a pressure test kit.
Test clog radiator, you have to run the car to operation temp, and feel if the radiator have a cool sport. ( wearing a mechanic gloves so it don’t burn ur hand)
If thermostat is stuck it usually overheat.
Just buy a radiator cap it don’t cost that much

Going to try the radiator. It is original to the truck.

Pressure test the system. Don't guess! You're going to be really mad if you replace the radiator and it's still leaking, then a $50 pressure test kit reveals something easy like a loose clamp or a split hose.

Well, I already have radiator out and its over 10 years old.

If that doesn't fix it then I will get a pressure tester.

Water pump beatings were blown so I thought that was the issue but I guess not.

Another way to test radiator is block the lower outlet and see how much water it takes to fill it

If the rad is out tape the inlets and flip it around to look for cracks.. if necessary add water before closing all inlets... gives it 1 way out... age doesn't really have anything to do with the radiator.. I just replaced my Celica's 17 year radiator because a plastic inlet broke off inside the hose.. I'm also replacing my SC400 Original radiator because it cracked after 28 years years...

It just found the next weakest component. Make sure you bleed/purge system of air and replace the radiator cap.

Replaced radiator, topped off coolant, left cap off for 5 minutes with heater running and a little gas. Put cap back on and took a few mile trip. She is staying cool and no leaks.

I hope this one is behind me because I am worn out!

    Thanks everyone for the help!
