Has anyone successfully swapped their tow mirrors with the normal factory mirrors? I’m having a lot of trouble finding any information.

There’s a write up for the opposite I’m sure it gives the same info. If your swapping from tow to regular I’ll trade you mine I’ve been wanting to get the oem tow mirrors

It is not a simple plug and play. The wiring harness is different. Going from regular to tow mirrors is a big deal, I'm sure it is the same the other way.

Correct, wire harness would need to be swapped. There is a list of parts that need to be swapped to make it work, but I’d be willing to ship my set to him first so he can swap and get mirrors set up on his truck and then ship me the tow mirrors after.

if the install is too much to do at home you can also take parts to dealer. I’ll most likely do mine at home but I’m also not considered normal.

Watched the same video. I wish I would have ordered my truck like I have the last few vehicles but when the wife says "you need to buy a new truck tomorrow" you buy a new truck tomorrow. I wonder if Toyota had a manually extending and folding tow mirror whether a jumper cable would make it work. My Gen 2.5 has manual fold and extend.
