    Greetings,
One year aggo I purchased a Bilstein 5100 Monotube Gas Struts & Shocks Set for my 2007 Tundra 5.7L 2WD. My local shops (rural) did not ghave time to install them, so I took my pickup to the dealer. Things have been fine, but over the last couple of months I had been hearing some clunking in tghe front end, so took it back to the dealer for them to diagnose. It turns out the Strut Mounts are broken in some manner ( I didn't look). It also turns out that they did not replace the strut mounts when installing the new struts. They are telling me that that was not required. Of course to get new mounts I will be paying again for exactly the same work I had done a year ago. They said I can drive it indefinitely as is with no problems, except of course having to listen to the annoying clunking sound. Should I call BS? Is it standard practice to not replace strut mounts when putting in new struts (12 yo at the time). It might just be one of those live and learn moments. Some might question why I use a dealership for service as it is more expensive. The main thing they offer is same day repair, which does have value as I only have one vehicle. Thanks for any advice. I know there are a bunch of very knowledgeable people on this forum.

SouthWest GA, Yes, dealership work. They are saying they did not. I am sensing BS, but wanted to have the opinion of knowledgeable people before I take it up with them. Thank you for your input.
