Anyone replace the factory amp for something stronger? Without having to mount it under the seat? I want a small one that will fit in the same place the factory one is. Just want something to get more out of the new speakers I put in. I was looking at these:

That alpine or I think kicker also makes a tiny amp that will work.

Alpine has one small enough to mount with their radio in the dash (may even be that one). I think it comes with it's own bracket to do so.

In my case the built in amp on my 17-19 86 radio was enough of an (unexpected) upgrade for me, as I still have stock speakers.

I have the Alpine in the picture in my 06 DC Limited. I plugged it into my Alpine head unit and put the amp inside the dash behind the head unit. I may or may not have zipped tied it to something. It's been working fine for a couple of years. Very pleased with the Alpine amp.
