Has anyone ever removed the big front TRD brakes - calipers and rotors, and replaced with stock size parts? I have two trucks and I want to remove them and go to stock size. The TRD brakes are not needed as it’s a work truck, parts are crazy expensive and I can put 18” tires and wheels on it for a better ride.
I don’t know if bolting on regular size brakes/calipers will affect computer or ABS etc?
If anyone has any experience or knows who might I appreciate any feedback.

It shouldn’t be a problem to remove the larger rotor/caliper and go back to stock.

The abs is run off the wheel speed sensors and the gear around the outside of the wheel bearing. The rotor and caliper are all mechanical parts on the outside of that system.

To my knowledge there is no updates or programming available for the ABS ecu, so safe to assume you system is stock just with a big rotor.

I assume the TRD rotors are warped and need replacing? They are hard to come by.

You can’t run an 18” wheel with the TRD brakes?

You’ll just need stock parts - rotors, calipers, and pads. There’s nothing fancy about installing or removing the BBK. It will be the same as if you were switching out regular sized calipers. You’ll probably be able to sell it on here too.
No, the Toyota BBK requires 20” wheels.
