    My 2008 Tundra remote to open the doors stopped working yesterday. Put a new battery in thinking that’s all it needed? Still does not work? Do I need to reprogram it or go to the dealer? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. D

    Sounds like your FOB failed after 12 years of service.

    You can buy online some replacements, have dealership reprogram them for you.

    Surely it's not your problem but reminds me of a homeowner that reported their gate opener would not work after changing batteries. After checking it for them, had a hard time not giggling as I told them they forgot to peal off the protective tab off negative side :facepalm:

    The remote on my 007 died a few months after I purchased the truck in 017... I have been using the key ever since.
